The Bellarmine Veritas Society is an organization that welcomes the skills, talents and expertise that you may have gained in a former position or a recent hobby or interest.
Since we are a member led organization there are many ways you can contribute. Your time helps support the society designed for you!

Be a presenter
Teach your passion! Interested in sharing your skills/knowledge/experience in a particular area? We welcome you. To learn more about presenting, contact the Veritas Office by phone (502.272.8374) or email (veritas@bellarmine.edu) and they will put you in touch with the curriculum coordinator.
Serve on the Board of Directors
The Veritas Society is on the lookout for passionate people who want to serve on the Board of Directors. Board members serve a 2 year term and must regularly attend 4-5 Board meetings per year. Board members must also maintain active membership in one or more standing committees.
Support the Society
Our committees are open to the membership!
Curriculum Committee: Help with the preparation of courses, edit course descriptions, look for new presenters.
Membership/Promotion Committee: Assist with the catalog distribution each term, mainly to library branches, senior church groups, bookstores. Look for ways to promote the Veritas Society to the public.
Production Committee: Provide support to Veritas program Organizer/Presenters with computer and audio-visual assistance with their presentations to Veritas membership, pick up handouts from the office.
Mailing Volunteers: The Veritas Society is always looking for members who would like to help prepare various mailings throughout the year. The chair will send an email to all volunteers of this committee and whoever is available on that date will assist.
The Veritas Voice Newsletter: This committee is looking for members to attend Veritas Voice newsletter meetings, write stories and generate ideas for the newsletter.
Course Facilitator: Be an assistant to a presenter – pass around attendance sheet for class, make announcements sent by the office, present thank you note and certificate provided by the office.
New Member Buddy Program: Call a small group of new Veritas Members before the term begins to answer questions, make them feel welcome and comfortable, and remind them of the many benefits of Veritas. Optional: Attend lunch or do a campus tour before the semester begins.
Attend Events
Veritas is host to a multitude of events beside our fantastic courses. We invite you to participate in these events to take advantage of all the society has to offer.
- Annual Holiday Luncheon in December
- Annual Spring Celebration Banquet in April / May
- Field trips throughout the year - both in-person and virtual
- Special Lectures (information about these will come in the weekly newsletter)
