Thank you for visiting this page. The 2020 Day of Giving has been postponed until next fiscal year in response to more pressing student needs caused by the COVID-19 pandemic.
There is greater need than ever before for some of our students.
Our faculty and staff have reacted quickly and nimbly to provide online classes and services for our students, who are now learning remotely. While this transition is going well, some of our students face unprecedented personal crises. Some lack internet access or other tools needed for online instruction. Others are facing food insecurity issues at home. As they or their parents lose their jobs, they are struggling to pay the rent.
We must help these students now, in their time of urgent need. To do so, we postponed our annual Day of Giving and launched an immediate campaign for our students called Knights Helping Knights—because that is what we do. Our Knights Helping Knights Fund provides emergency assistance to students such as internet access, food, student aid and scholarships, and other emergency needs we haven’t even identified yet as the COVID-19 pandemic evolves.
We also continue to support our students through the Annual Fund, which provides, for example, much-needed scholarship funding for students with high need. As this crisis continues, we expect this need to grow as well. For many of our students, Bellarmine would not be possible without student aid. They need us now more than ever. Their future – and the future of our communities – depend upon it.
