The 1950 Society, named in honor of the year Bellarmine College was founded, honors donors who give $1,950 or more to Bellarmine University each year. Members in the 1950 Society enjoy all the benefits of the President Society membership. Additional benefits to the 1950 Society include:

Donor College

Join star Bellarmine faculty for a variety of interactive classes featuring interesting topics, current research, and exciting campus programs. Conclude the weekend with a luncheon with Dr. Donovan and a keynote speaker. Donor College 2021 will take place on Homecoming Weekend on Friday, February 5, 2020, and Saturday, February 6, 2020.

Knight Time Reading Book Club

Join us for Knight Time Reading, featuring books that our faculty and staff have written or are currently reading and teaching in the classoom. Share your love of reading and explore different views and thoughts with fellow donors and Bellarmine staff.

Register and participate in either one or both of the book club offerings each year, and join your fellow 1950 Society members at Knight Time Reading!

We made the difficult decision to postpone Knight Time Reading 2020 in response to growing concerns about COVID-19.

Knights and Pints 2020 will take place on August 11, 12 & 13. Jessica Hume, Assistant Professor of Health Sciences will be the facilitator

Topics include:

The Anthropology of Infectious Disease by Dr. Frank Hutchins, Professor of Anthropology 

Using Intersectionality to Understand the Pandemic and Social Unrest by Dr. DJ Mitchell, Chief Diversity, Equality and Inclusion Officer and Professor of Education

Interpreting the Pandemic Theologically by Dr. Greg Hillis, Associate Professor of Theology

Not a President’s Society member? President’s Society members are donors who give $1,500+ or young alumni that graduated in the last 10 years who give $750 or more.
