Inferior cerebellar peduncle containing dorsal spinocerebellar tract
- many fibers that enter the cerebellum traverse the
inferior cerebellar peduncle. The majority of fibers entering through
the inferior cerebellar peduncle arise from the inferior olivary nucleus
(climbing fibers), although input is also derived from the spinal cord
(posterior spinocerebellar tract), the reticular formation, accessory
(lateral) cuneate nucleus (cuneocerebellar tract), and the arcuate nucleus
(external arcuate fibers).
