Schedule of Events

The schedule for Family Weekend 2017 is available and we are looking forward to welcome you to campus as a member of the Bellarmine community!

Friday, October 6

Check-In and Registration: Stop by Hilary's from 5:00-7:00 p.m. to collect a packet of information and meal tickets for Family Weekend 2017. Hilary's is located in Centro Hall next to Einstein's Bagels.

Men's Soccer Game: Cheer on the Knights as they take on the University of Illinois Springfield. Kick-off is at 6:30 pm in Owsley B. Frazier Stadium

Women's Volleyball Game: Cheer on the Knights as they take on Drury University at 7:00 p.m. in Knights Hall

Late Knight Movie: Join us at 8:30 p.m. in the campus Quad for a special outdoor showing of the new release "Spiderman Homecoming". Light refreshments and chairs will be provided; attendees are welcome to bring blankets or their own chairs too.

Saturday, October 7

Continued Registration and Check-In: If you were not able to make it to check-in on Friday night, you are able to collect your information packet and meal tickets from 7:00-10:00 a.m. in Frazier Hall.

Breakfast: Complimentary breakfast will be available in the University Dining Hall beginning at 9:00 am

Family Fun Run

Service Projects**: Take part in a morning service project at one of our three sites:

  • Dare to Care Food Bank - 9:00 a.m.-Noon
  • Kentucky Refugee Ministries - 10:00 a.m.-Noon
  • Olmsted Park Conservatory - 10:00 a.m. -Noon

Louisville Scavenger Hunt: Race around the City of Louisville to complete a scavenger hunt featuring some of the City's iconic locations. The first scavenger hunt will begin from Frazier Hall at 10:00 a.m. and the second scavenger hunt will begin from Frazier Hall at 1:00 p.m. The family with the fastest time between the two scavenger hunts will win a custom Bellarmine themed bourbon barrel head.

Evan Williams Bourbon Experience**: Enjoy a tour to learn about one of the nation's most popular bourbon companies. This hour-long bourbon experience will walk you through a history of Evan Williams, discuss the distillation process and will feature a bourbon tasting for guests 21 and older.

Taste of Kentucky Reception with Faculty: Mingle with faculty and staff at a reception from 2:00-4:00 p.m. in the Quad

Women's Volleyball Game: Cheer on the Knights as they take on Rockhurst University at 3:00 p.m. in Knights Hall

Bingo: Join us for an afternoon of Bingo in Frazier Hall from 4:00-5:30 p.m.

Roller Skating: Skate the night away with your family as we transform our Student Recreational Facility (SuRF) into a disco skating rink. Skating is available from 6:00-10:00 p.m.

Louisville FC vs. Charlotte Independence Soccer Match**: Watch the Louisville Futbol Club take on the Charlotte Independence at Louisville Slugger Field. Kickoff is at 7:30 p.m.

Sunday, October 8

Catholic Mass: Join the Bellarmine community for Sunday mass at Our Lady of the Woods Chapel at 10:30 a.m.

Farewell Brunch: Wrap up Family Weekend 2017 with a farewell brunch in the University Dining Hall from 11:30 a.m.-1:00 p.m.

4th Annual Arthur M. Walters Benefit Concert: A musical tribute to veterans featuring a host of regional and local artists to benefit scholarship, youth arts and development programs, and sickle cell research. The concert will begin at 3:00 p.m. in Bellarmine's Amy Cralle Theater. Concert tickets will be available for purchase at the door - $5 for Bellarmine students and guests under the age of 18 and $20 for all other guests.
