Schedule of Events

The schedule for Family Weekend 2018 is available and we are looking forward to welcome you to campus as a member of the Bellarmine community!

**Please note: due to limited capacities advanced registration is required for this event**

Friday, September 28

Check-In and Registration: Stop by the Owsley B. Frazier Stadium to check-in, enter to win a family giveaway and stay for the games if you wish! This station will be open from 3 - 7 p.m. on Friday evening.

Soccer Tailgate:
 Join the Bellarmine community outside of Frazier Stadium from 1 - 7 p.m. for free food and drinks.

Women's Soccer Game: Cheer on the Knights as they take on Quincy University. Kick-off is at 3:55 p.m. in Owsley B. Frazier Stadium.

Men's Soccer Game: Cheer on the Knights as they take on Quincy University at 6:30 p.m. in Owsley B. Frazier Stadium

Residence Hall Mixers: Stop by your student's campus residence hall to for fun and games and to learn more about our residential experience. Each hall will have a fun snack available from 8 - 9 p.m.

Late Knight Movie: Join us at 9 p.m. in the campus Quad for a special outdoor showing of the new release Incredibles 2! Light refreshments and chairs will be provided; attendees are welcome to bring blankets or their own chairs too. **Rain Location will be Frazier Hall.

Saturday, September 29

Continued Registration and Check-In: If you were not able to make it to check-in on Friday night, you are able to collect your information packet and any additional tickets from 8 - 10 a.m. in Frazier Hall. 

Family 5k Fun Run: Start your day with a win! Bellarmine's Family Weekend Fun Run will start at 8:30 a.m. in front of Knights Hall. Registration is available on site from 7:30 - 8 a.m. There is no fee to enter, all are welcome in this walk/run 3 mile loop!

Greater Louisville Cross-Country Invitational: Cheer on the Men's and Women's Cross Country Teams as they compete in the 17th annual Greater Louisville Invitational. The race starts at 9:30 a.m. at E.P. "Tom" Sawyer State Park.

Opening Brunch & Welcome: Join the Bellarmine faculty and staff to kick-off Family Weekend with a brunch and remarks from President Donovan. The brunch will begin at 10 a.m. in Frazier Hall.

Louisville Excursions:  

  • Louisville Zoo
  • Buillet Bourbon Experience Distillery Tours
  • Volunteer Projects with Dare to Care Food Bank or Olmsted Parks
  • Explore Louisville on Your Own

Afternoon Activities:

  • Bingo - stop by Frazier Hall from 3-4:30 p.m. for a few rounds of Bingo
  • BU Game Show - put your Bellarmine knowledge to the test during the BU Game Show from 3-4:30 p.m. in the Palio

Cohort Receptions: Join your student's cohort for a special reception to meet their classmates, other families, and the faculty and staff assisting with the cohort. All receptions will be from 4:30 - 5:30 p.m. in select locations around campus.

  • Honors Program Reception - Centro Atrium 
  • Learning Communities Reception - Cralle Foyer 
  • Office of Identity and Inclusion Reception - Centro 1st floor Foyer

Evening Activities:

  • Twilight Racing at Churchill Downs: This special event includes special patio seating, games and activities, the BU Knight Mascot, a special Bellarmine race and signature Bellarmine cocktail at the cash bars. This is an event you won't want to miss!

Sunday, September 30

Catholic Mass: Join the Bellarmine community for Sunday Mass at Our Lady of the Woods Chapel at 10:30 a.m.

Women's Soccer Game: Cheer on the Knights as they take on the University of Illinois Springfield. Kick-off is at noon in Owsley B. Frazier Stadium. 

Men's Soccer Game: Watch the Knights take on the University of Illinois Springfield at 2:30 p.m. in Owsley B. Frazier Stadium. 

4th Annual Arthur M. Walters Benefit Concert: A musical tribute to veterans featuring regional and local artists. The concert will benefit scholarship, youth arts and development programs, and sickle cell research. The concert will begin at 3 p.m. in Bellarmine's Amy Cralle Theater. Concert tickets will be available for purchase at the door - $5 for Bellarmine students and guests under the age of 18 and $20 for all other guests.
