The pre-professional MLS degree program includes the recommended prerequisites for graduate or medical school, in addition to courses in Medical Laboratory Science. Graduates of this program receive the Bachelor of Health Sciences degree but are not required to complete the clinical internship, and are therefore not eligible for MLS certification; however, they may return at a later date for the one-semester internship and would then be certification-eligible.
The Department of Medical Laboratory Science also offers a visiting student program, a medical sciences track for students interested in medical school and an accelerated second-degree option for those who already have a bachelor’s degree.
