The semester’s end is near. Classes end Wednesday evening and the first final exams start Friday morning. Many of this week's events share a theme: surviving finals.

Monday, Dec. 3
Thomas Merton Center, W.L. Lyons Brown Library
Check in on the monks of Drepung Gomang Monastery as they create an elaborate sand mandala in the Merton Center. Visit daily from 10 a.m. to 5 p.m. on Monday through Thursday this week.

Tuesday, Dec. 4
Centro McGowan Hall 270
In preparation for final exams, get yourself centered with meditation and yoga.

Wednesday, Dec. 5
Last day of classes!

Thursday, Dec. 6
Study day; no classes

Drop-in career advising, 8:30 a.m. to 5 p.m.

Check in with career pros about internships, mentoring, grad school planning or your job search plans. Stay for the free snacks.

Blood drive, 10 a.m. to 4 p.m.

Final exams can take your blood, sweat and tears. If you have any left to spare, help save a life by donating blood to the Kentucky Blood Center.

Tips and tricks for nailing the GMAT exam for entrance into graduate business programs, offered by the W. Fielding Rubel School of Business. RSVP required.

Our Lady of the Woods Chapel
A service celebrating the birth of Jesus, interspersed with Christmas carols, hymns and choir music by the Bellarmine University Oratorio Society. Community members -- including President Donovan -- will read the nine lessons.

Friday, Dec. 7
Final exams begin
Finals are ruff - day one, 10 a.m. to 2 p.m.

Alumni mentor program deadline
Sophomores, juniors and seniors who want to be paired with an alumni mentor for the spring semester must apply by December 7. Bellarmine offers one of the largest and most successful personal student-alumni mentoring programs in the nation!

Saturday, Dec. 8
Men's basketball vs. Christian Brothers University, 3 p.m.
Knights Hall
Take a break from finals to shout "K-N-I-G-H-T-S" for a bit. The top-ranked Knights hold an all-time 8-3 edge against the Buccaneers.
