Tom Owen and Kirt Jacobs, candidates to represent the Louisville Metro Council's Eighth
District, will participate in a debate organized by Bellarmine University on Wednesday,
October 3, 2012, from 6:30 to 8:30 p.m.
The debate, which is free and open to the public, takes place in Pasteur Hall 102,
which is building #2 on this campus map.
The debate, organized by Bellarmine University's Brown Scholars and co-sponsored by the Bellarmine Young Democrats, Young Republicans, Political
Science Club, and Students for Political Awareness, will be moderated by Dr. Lee Remington
Williams, assistant professor of political science.
In addition to being the home of Bellarmine University, the Eighth District includes
the neighborhoods of Cherokee Triangle, part of the Original Highlands, Tyler Park,
Bonnycastle, Deer Park, Highlands-Douglass, Belknap, Upper Highlands, Bowman, Alta
Vista, Braeview and Denham-Drayton, and the small cities of Strathmoor manor, Strathmoor
Village, Kingsley and Seneca Gardens.
