Bellarmine Designers’ Show House Goes Scottish at the Inverness

September 3, 2010

The 37th annual Bellarmine University Women's Council Designers' Show House event will feature the Inverness Condominiums in the historic Cherokee Triangle area. The show house runs September 11 to 26, at 966 Cherokee Rd.

Once the Charles P. Moorman Home for Women, Joseph and Joseph Architects have transformed the building into elegant, Scotland-inspired Highland homes. Three units -- Edinburgh, Perth and Aberdeen -- will be decorated by several area designers and open for tours during the event.

In keeping with the Scottish theme, Cafe Fraiche will serve lunch in the Tartan Cafe. The Highlands Marketplace, a boutique, will feature local vendors.

Tickets will be available at the door for $15. All proceeds benefit the Bellarmine Student Financial Aid Fund. Free valet parking will be available.

Show house and boutique hours are:
  • Monday, Wednesday, Friday and Saturday from 10 a.m. to 5 p.m.
  • Tuesday and Thursday from 10 a.m. to 7 p.m.
  • Sunday from noon to 5 p.m.
No admittance 30 minutes prior to published closing time.

Cafe hours:
  • Monday through Saturday from 11 a.m. to 2 p.m.
  • Sunday from noon to 3 p.m.

Featured designers will be at the show house on Tuesday and Thursday from 5 to 7 p.m.
