Veritas Society Classes
The Veritas Society, a lifelong learning institute sponsored by Bellarmine’s School of Continuing & Professional Studies, serves people age 55 and over in the Louisville area.

Veritas will host a reception and orientation on Wednesday, September 15, at 2 p.m. in the lobby of Knights Hall. Students can learn about and register for 21 different fall Veritas classes, which begin September 27 and run through November 4.

Veritas discussion groups, held weekday mornings, include topics such as the Treaty of Paris in 1763, and former U.S. Labor Secretary Frances Perkins, whose work on the New Deal was the subject of a book by Kirstin Downey.

The Veritas Society also offers a Monday lunch and learn series, which kicks off at noon on September 27, with a presentation by Ryan Irvine, assistant director of the Louisville Metro Department of Public Health and Wellness. The cost of each Monday session, which includes lunch, is $11, with reservations made by the prior Wednesday.
