As you may or may not have heard, Bellarmine University has suspended face-to-face classes on campus until April 1 due to COVID-19. With this decision, The Big Event Team, which is composed of students, has been instructed to return to their homes and to not remain on campus. This means the work that is necessary for us to complete Project Site Visits and implement The Big Event on 4.4.2020, will not be feasible. The Big Event on April 4 is being rescheduled.
As an institution, we are thinking of creative ways to accomplish our work and keep our community engaged. We have decided to reschedule the spring 2020 Big Event for fall 2020, Little Event on Saturday, September 19. The goal of The Little Event is to complete your previously submitted project requests (or updated as project needs may change). We would then focus on growing The Big Event, scheduled for Saturday, April 10, 2021.
If you would still like your previously submitted project (or a different one) completed during The Little Event, please respond and let us know what (if any) changes you would like to make to your submission. We would then reach out later this summer to conduct a Project Site Visit. All communication for the new date will be similar to how things have been happening since you first submitted your project request online. If you prefer to not participate in The Little Event and/or would like to only participate in the 2021 Big Event, please let us know.
