Four-Week NSF Summer Internship at the Kentucky Science Center for BU STEM Students
If you are a first-year, sophomore, junior or senior (including students who will be graduating) majoring in Biology, Chemistry, Mathematics and Physics with a GPA of at least 2.5 in good academic standing, you are eligible to apply for an NSF funded four-week summer internship at the Kentucky Science Center in July 2019.
Ten students will be selected for this four-week summer internship at the Kentucky Science Center. Each student will receive a stipend of $1000 for the one month of work in July. Students will also receive free campus housing for the duration of this internship in July 2019. Additionally, each student will receive $368 towards meal expenses for the month of July.

Summary of Camp Educator Internship Position
The Kentucky Science Center is seeking seasonal Camp Educator Interns with an enthusiasm to “Do Science!” for our summer 2019 School’s Out Science Camp program. Camp Education Interns ensure that campers experience a stimulating and fun learning environment at the Kentucky Science Center. Education Interns will facilitate all lesson plans and lesson extensions (provided by the Kentucky Science Center) for a class of up to 25 students. Education Interns will exercise the engineering design process, inquiry-based learning, Next Generation Science Standards (NGSS), and other best practices in conjuncture with the provided curricula. Additionally, Education Interns will provide professional development opportunities for and guidance to camp counselors and volunteers in the classroom.
