BraveBU is a culture of care campaign that is focused on the promotion of bystander intervention and healthy behaviors. Often led by students, BraveBU programs occur throughout the academic year and focus on issues such as sexual assault prevention, healthy relationships, and wellness-based discussions. The initial BraveBU program is led at new student orientation each August. Staff members from the Dean of Students Office explain the culture of care at Bellarmine, walk students through the definitions included in the campus sexual misconduct policy and facilitate dialogue around realistic and helpful strategies to avoid being a bystander. More information about programming or involvement with BraveBU may be found on the BraveBU site.
