Why Bellarmine?

I wasn’t looking at Bellarmine, but one of my best friends went on a tour and kept talking about how welcoming the community was so I figured I’d visit. I went on the tour and fell in love. The tour guides were really fun.

What’s the community like?
The campus community is unlike anything you’ve ever experienced before because it might be a college but it just feels like you’re living in a giant neighborhood where everybody goes to classes around you, everybody wants to get to know you, everybody wants to be your friend. Everybody’s positive. Honestly, I go to sleep at night grateful for the friendships and connections I’ve made with my peers and mentors I don’t take it for granted

Were you nervous at all?
I was nervous about fitting in, and then I went to the Early Knights program. I started meeting people, talking to them and making new friends. It made me realize that everybody’s unique. You don’t have to be one thing or another to fit in. Everybody’s from different places, they grew up with different lives and you get to learn from them. Everybody, not a single person is left out at Bellarmine, because we’re all unique. It’s not, ‘oh there’s this crowd or this crowd’ Everybody fits in, it doesn’t matter who you are, you can be however you want to be and you’ll fit in.

Your professors will know you by name, 100%. If you’re really struggling with something, they will sit down and help you even if they’re not on office hours. I have met with so many professors and they go out of their way to help me. They’re not just professors to me, they’re also like friends and mentors. They help guide me through everything.—TYREN
