Mission

The Department of Biochemistry and Molecular Biology (BMB) explores how life works at the molecular level, where chemistry and biology meet. Students gain a strong scientific foundation through coursework, hands-on laboratory experiences, and opportunities to participate in research.

A BMB degree prepares students for a wide range of paths after graduation, including medical or pharmacy school, graduate research programs, and careers in fields such as biotechnology and the pharmaceutical industry.
