The accounting profession is experiencing increased demand for professionals that can meet the challenges of a dynamic and global marketplace. Today’s accountants are valuable contributors to their organizations; using their accounting knowledge, business expertise, and communication and interpersonal skills to improve organizational decision-making.
- The core of the Bellarmine accounting major is a four-year, 126-hour program that provides students with the knowledge and skills necessary for a successful career in accounting, beginning with entry-level positions in corporations, non-profits, and governmental entities.
- Many students choose to extend their degree to obtain the 150-semester-hours required to take the Uniform CPA Examination in Kentucky. Bellarmine offers several 150-hour alternatives, including: supplemental minors, dual majors, a dual BA/MBA, or a dual BA/MST.
- For those with a baccalaureate degree in field other than accounting, but who wish to pursue a professional career in accounting, Bellarmine has a Certificate in Professional Accounting program.
