Cindy Zipperle

Cynthia (Cindy) Zipperle enjoyed a nearly 40 year career in Finance roles with several companies. She is a CPA and a recognized professional in core accounting, internal controls, and technology implementation projects. She is especially respected for her leadership skills including attracting, retaining and developing staff.

Cindy retired as Controller and Chief Accounting Officer of Humana Inc, a public company with over $45 Billion in assets and $80 billion in revenue. Serving in that role for 7 years, she was responsible for attesting to the SEC as to the accuracy of the company’s financial information and the adequacy of internal controls. She led a staff of 450 professionals, who performed roles including Procurement, Treasury, Tax, technology support and Accounting and Reporting. Cindy was at Humana for a total of 22 years.

Cindy also served as Assistant Controller at Providian (formerly Capital Holding), a public company that was purchased by Aegon International. Prior roles included CFO of a small private company and 6 years at PWC. She graduated from Bellarmine Summa Cum Laude in May of 1984 with a Bachelor’s and an Associate’s Degree. She is a life long supporter of St Joseph Children’s Home, and adopted her two sons from there after fostering them. She and her husband of 37 years reside in Louisville.
