David Lopez is the Global Knowledge Lead for Fundraising and Development at Teach For All, an international nonprofit that develops collective leadership to ensure all children have the opportunity to fulfill their potential. He was previously the Chief Development Officer at Metro United Way.
David started his career as a sales and marketing professional in the for-profit sector. In 2008, David felt called to make a pivot into the non-profit sector where he could devote his days to expanding opportunities in partnership with underserved communities. He led business development for the National Farm Workers Service Center in Southern California, taught bilingual elementary in Houston, and started and led the Teach For America chapter in San Diego as the founding Executive Director. In 2018 he and his wife, Sarah, a Kentucky native, moved to the Greater Louisville Region as they started a family and welcomed their son, Isaiah.
