For Anna Dierken, professional growth means continuously seeking opportunities to learn and expand her business knowledge. As an Area Sales Manager in the Commercial Development Program at GE Appliances, Anna is advancing her career while pursuing her Online MBA at Bellarmine University.
After earning her bachelor's degree from the University of Kentucky, Anna decided to continue her education to strengthen her understanding of business beyond her everyday responsibilities.
"The reason I wanted to pursue my MBA is because I wanted to continue growing professionally, as well as expand my understanding with business beyond my day-to-day responsibilities," Anna said.
Bellarmine's reputation, flexible schedule, and supportive faculty and staff were important factors in her decision to enroll.
Flexibility for Working Professionals
For Anna, balancing a full-time career, graduate school, and personal commitments is possible thanks to the flexibility of Bellarmine's Online MBA program.
"The online MBA program has made it extremely convenient to manage both work, school, and my personal life," Anna explained. "With my current role at GE Appliances, I travel occasionally, and so it allows me to keep up with my coursework regardless if I'm out of town for work or in Kentucky just at home."
The program allows her to continue developing professionally without putting her career or personal life on hold.
Building Connections Beyond the Classroom
Beyond flexibility, Anna has particularly valued the sense of community within the Online MBA program. Through collaborative projects and faculty engagement, she has built meaningful relationships with fellow students and expanded her professional network.
"One thing I've really enjoyed about the online MBA program is the community within the program," Anna shared. "The professors do a great job of connecting the students and allowing them to collaborate on group projects."
These opportunities have helped Anna connect with other working professionals while gaining perspectives that complement her academic experience.
Investing in Her Future
As Anna continues her MBA journey, she appreciates the opportunity to grow professionally while maintaining the flexibility her career requires.
"I would highly recommend the online MBA program," Anna said. "It has an excellent reputation and allows me to connect with young professionals, as well as it has an awesome flexibility aspect and allows me to juggle school, work, and my personal life."
