Balancing academics, athletics, and career ambitions, Bellarmine student-athlete Jeff Prechtel is getting a head start on his future through the Rubel School of Business Early Entry MBA Program.
For Bellarmine University student-athlete Jeff Prechtel, pursuing academic excellence means making the most of every opportunity. As a double major in Finance and Accounting and a member of the Bellarmine wrestling team, Jeff is balancing a demanding schedule while preparing for his professional future through the Early Entry MBA 4+1 Program.
The program allows students to begin graduate-level coursework while completing their undergraduate degrees, creating an opportunity to earn both a bachelor's degree and an MBA in approximately five years.
Building Connections and Preparing for the Future
For Jeff, his experience at Bellarmine has been about more than academics. The relationships he has developed with professors and classmates are helping him build a strong foundation for his future career.
"I've had a lot of great connections that I've made with classmates and professors that are already starting to form connections for future jobs and future careers as well," Jeff shared.
These connections, combined with the personalized support of faculty, have contributed to his academic experience and motivated him to pursue graduate education.
A Flexible and Affordable Path to an MBA
One of the greatest advantages of Bellarmine's Early Entry MBA Program is the opportunity to save time and money while advancing academically.
Students can complete up to 12 credit hours of MBA coursework during their undergraduate studies at no additional tuition cost. The program also offers flexible, fully online classes that meet every other week, making it easier to balance academics, athletics, and other commitments.
"I'm very excited to be a part of the five-year MBA program. It's helping me get my master's degree while pursuing my bachelor's degree as well. It will save me a bunch of time and money, and I will still be able to focus on athletics as well as academics as well," Jeff explained.
Open to students from all undergraduate majors, the Early Entry MBA provides an accessible pathway to graduate business education, with no prerequisite business courses required.
Encouraging Other Students to Take the Next Step
As Jeff continues his academic and athletic journey, he encourages other Bellarmine students to explore the opportunities available through the program.
"I would highly recommend to all my fellow students and future students at Bellarmine University to pursue the five-year early entry MBA program," he said.
Jeff's experience highlights how Bellarmine students can pursue multiple academic goals, remain involved in campus life, and prepare for their careers through an efficient and flexible graduate education pathway.
