Testing Center Support during Campus Closure
The Testing Center will be closed through the end of the semester while courses are being offered online. All previously approved Testing Center appointments during this time will be cancelled. We understand that this might be frustrating to students who have already scheduled their exams, but the safety of our students and the campus community is our primary concern.
Students will still receive any approved accommodations for any online exams, and we encourage those students to contact their instructors via email to make arrangements for those online accommodations.
Please do not hesitate to reach out to Chelsea McKendree with any questions regarding the Testing Center at email@example.com.
The Bellarmine University Testing Center strives to provide a comfortable, secure, accessible testing environment for Bellarmine University students to help them perform to the best of their academic ability. The Bellarmine University Testing Center adheres to the NCTA Professional Standards and Guidelines.
Who can use the Testing Center?
We offer exam proctoring services in the Student Success Center (SSC) Testing Center for any student who meets at least one of the following criteria:
- Student must have documented testing accommodations from the Disability Services Office. Students can apply for accommodation online by completing an Accommodation Request Form.
- A student who, due to a university sanctioned event, misses a test. University sanctioned events include but are not limited to athletics or academic events and/or conferences. These students should not use Accommodate to schedule their exams, but should use this form to request a test outside of class.
- Students who serve as active military or reserve military personnel, who miss exams due to being activated for duty.
- Activated military personnel spouses caring for minor dependents, who miss an exam due to an increase in family-related responsibilities in their spouse’s absence.
A student who does not meet one of the criteria above (e.g. illness, personal travel, family event) should make arrangements with the faculty to take the test outside of class.
When is the Testing Center open?
Testing appointments are typically available Monday through Friday (when fall and spring classes are in session) beginning at 8:00 a.m. Regardless of a student's accommodations, all tests must be completed by 5 p.m. on these designated days.
During the summer months, the Testing Center operates on a limited basis. Please contact the Testing Center for summer hours.
Booking a Test
A student with accommodation through Disability Services who qualifies to take a test in the Testing Center must use the Accommodate scheduling system to schedule a time to take a test. Information on how to use accommodate can be found below.
