Fall 2020 Testing Center Updates
The Testing Center will be open for the Fall 2020 semester to provide in-person proctoring. However, space is limited as we are required to maintain social distancing practices. Therefore, is more important than ever to schedule your exams as early as possible.
Students who are enrolled in online courses and receive accommodations have the option to take their online exams in the Testing Center on their own device. These students should schedule their exam regularly through Accommodate.
If a student is unable to come to campus to take their accommodated exam in the Testing Center, they will need to coordinate with their instructor via email to make arrangements for those online accommodations.
Please do not hesitate to reach out to Chelsea McKendree with any questions regarding the Testing Center at firstname.lastname@example.org.
The Bellarmine University Testing Center strives to provide a comfortable, secure, accessible testing environment for Bellarmine University students to help them perform to the best of their academic ability. The Bellarmine University Testing Center adheres to the NCTA Professional Standards and Guidelines.
Who can use the Testing Center?
We offer exam proctoring services in the Student Success Center (SSC) Testing Center for any student who meets at least one of the following criteria:
- Students who have documented testing accommodations from the Disability Services Office. These students will schedule through the Accommodate system.
- A student who, due to a university sanctioned event, misses a test. University sanctioned events include but are not limited to athletics or academic events and/or conferences.
- Students who serve as active military or reserve military personnel, who miss exams due to being activated for duty.
- Activated military personnel spouses caring for minor dependents, who miss an exam due to an increase in family-related responsibilities in their spouse’s absence.
A student who does not meet one of the criteria above (e.g. illness, personal travel, family event) should make arrangements with the faculty to take the test outside of class.
Booking a Test
A student with accommodation through Disability Services who qualifies to take a test in the Testing Center must use the Accommodate scheduling system to schedule a time to take a test. Information on how to use accommodate can be found below.
