Spring Celebration

This poster session is open to undergraduate and graduate students. Students are encouraged to share their efforts in the areas of independent academic research, collaborative work with faculty, community-based program delivery, and creative projects with the entire campus community.

  • Event: April 16, 2024
  • Abstract Deadline: March 18, 2024 - abstracts must be reviewed and approved by faculty mentors before completing your online registration.
  • Bellarmine Print Shop Deadline: March 25, 2024 - the faculty mentor must review and approve the poster prior to printing.

Instructions

  1. Presenters should be third- or fourth-year Bellarmine students OR have Junior or Senior status OR be a member of a learning community with at least 48 earned semester hours. All graduate students are also invited to participate.
  2. All participants should consult your faculty mentor and obtain her or his approval prior to submitting the abstract. The faculty mentor must also approve the poster prior to printing.
  3. Participants are required to prepare a professional poster presentation that has been reviewed by their faculty mentor in one of the following formats:
    • The preferred format is a single large format posters (36” x 48” sample template)
    • Students may also create a presentation using multiple "slides" mounted on colored paper or card stock. Note: PowerPoint slides that have been printed on white paper are not acceptable. All slides must be mounted and produced using a high-quality printer—handwritten slides are unacceptable.
  4. Large format posters can be printed by the Bellarmine University print shop (printshop@bellarmine.edu) or by a third party. Ordinarily, students are responsible for all printing charges. However, some programs may cover the production costs—please discuss with your faculty sponsor. Please print posters (or slides) well in advance of the event—so plan ahead.  To ensure your poster is printed by the event, the deadline for the Bellarmine Print Shop is March 25, 2024.
  5. All posters must be set-up in Frazier Hall no later than 4 p.m. on the day of the event.
  6. All students must be available to participate through the entire scheduled event 5 - 6:30 p.m.
  7. All students are expected to dress professionally during the poster session and business casual is recommended.
