Affordability

Bellarmine  offers scholarships, other financial aid to all incoming students

Admissions

Bellarmine University is a top-notch, well-ranked private university with a reputation for excellence.  But,  here’s the great catch, it’s also affordable and accessible to everyone.

Bellarmine guarantees a scholarship award to 100 percent of admitted first-year students. And, thanks to scholarships, grants, loans and work-study, there are  many additional  ways to  finance your  Bellarmine education.  For example, Bellarmine’s partnership with Jefferson, the 2BU program allows students from that school easily transfer to Bellarmine without any application fees.

Bellarmine’s Financial Aid team  works  with  students  to help them  maximize their financial aid package. Last year, the Financial Aid office was able to offer an average comprehensive award of nearly $38,000 (including loan opportunities) for the incoming class. Bellarmine’s Public Price Promise grants qualifying students the opportunity to attend Bellarmine by matching the overall cost of their state’s flagship university.

Mary Wurtz, who just graduated with an international studies degree, said scholarship money was a huge draw for her.

“As far as other liberal arts, private institutions, the financial packages at Bellarmine are unparalleled,” she said. “That was certainly the case for me.”

Aditya Singh, a Bellarmine  junior majoring in biochemistry and molecular biology, agrees.

He chose Bellarmine for its reputation of academic excellence and  he  received the  Bellarmine Scholar Award, which provides a full scholarship and a stipend to study abroad.

For those who’d like to learn more, check out  Bellarmine’s Financial Aid checklist. It has numerous tools like the university’s  Net Price Calculator, which estimates financial aid packages, including scholarships.

Also, students may apply for admission and scholarships, all at once. There is no separate application for Bellarmine scholarships and grants. Simply submit your application for admission by February 1 to be considered for any of the  competitive merit-based awards.

If you file FAFSA and attend an official campus visit,  Bellarmine will give you an additional $1,500 per year through the Trustee Scholarship. That’s a $6,000 value over four-years at Bellarmine, and thanks to the graduation guarantee, you can be confident you’ll be able to complete your degree in just four years.

Put it all together, and you get an affordable investment in an excellent education.

"Through financial aid, Bellarmine went from being one of the most expensive to the most affordable school on my list."
