Current Exchange Students

To maintain your exchange visitor status, you must attend orientation upon your arrival and follow certain rules set by the Department of State for the duration of your exchange visit. This includes maintaining a full time course load. Please see Bellarmine's guide on Maintaining J-1 Status for additional information.

Work options are tightly restricted. In the past, some exchange students have worked as language tutors in the Student Success Center at Bellarmine. If you are interested in off-campus work (including internships or volunteering), please take a look at Bellarmine's guide to J-1 Academic Training.
