Eight Bellarmine University graduates are among Business First's
2018 Forty Under 40 class, recognizing young professionals that are finding success in their field of work while giving back to their community.
The honorees were announced yesterday and will be recognized at a banquet hosted by the weekly business publication in September.
The honorees with degrees from Bellarmine are:
- Adam Beam, a 2004 business graduate who is vice president of health plan development for One Call Care Management, which provides comprehensive workers' compensation solutions.
- Jane Bowie, a 2015 MBA graduate who is global brand ambassador, senior heritage team/distillery diplomat for Maker's Mark, a signature Kentucky bourbon product.
- Sanela Graziose, a 2003 accounting graduate who is senior vice president of sales for Atria Senior Living, a leading operator of independent living, assisted living, supportive living and memory care communities.
- Robert Gunn, a 2008 master's in education graduate recently named principal of W.E.B. DuBois Academy, a new Jefferson County Public Schools middle school program designed to help serve and meet the needs of young males of color. Gunn is currently a candidate for a Bellarmine doctoral degree in education.
- Laura Hammer, a 2003 accounting and economics graduate who is director of finance transformation for Ventas, a leading real estate investment trust with a portfolio of more than 1,200 senior housing and healthcare properties.
- Jim Mattingly, a 2001 economics and philosophy graduate who is executive vice president and chief financial officer at ResCare, the nation's largest diversified health and human services provider and largest private provider of services to people with disabilities.
- Josh Miller, a 2011 business and art administration graduate who is co-founder and chief operating officer at IDEAS xLab, which seeks to pioneer cultural innovation in population health through arts and science, in pursuit of a more just, creative and healthy America.
- Deana Paradis, a 2014 MBA graduate who is the chief financial officer at Louisville Collegiate School, a co-ed independent day school built on academic excellence, located in Louisville's Highlands neighborhood.
Andy Blieden, a local real estate developer who was on the panel that selected this year's honorees, told Business First: "It was really challenging to try and narrow the field down to 40. Every nominee could have been one of the 40. I’m struck by how much talent we have in Louisville, which is a great thing for the city."
