August 13, 2018

Jordan Crandell

As freshman move-in day draws near, we asked several incoming students a variety of questions to get to know them a little better. Over the coming weeks, we will share some of their responses as a sneak peek into the incoming class of 2022.

Today we will highlight the responses shared with us by Jordan Crandell.

What aspect of college life are you most looking forward to?
In college I am looking forward to meeting new people, and creating relationships that will last a lifetime. I am a very outgoing and personable guy, so I love socializing and getting to know new people. Coming from a small town in Indiana, you get to know people very quickly and I am looking forward to that same experience at Bellarmine.

Is there anyone in particular you’d like to thank for helping prepare you for this new part of your life?
I would love to thank all the incredible teachers I have had in the past that have prepared me extremely well for this new journey that I am about to undertake. Their kind, inspiring words have developed me into the person I am today and I will forever be grateful. I also want to thank my parents for always pushing me to do my absolute best and supporting me every step of the way.

Bellarmine has a thriving campus life! Are you planning on joining any particular clubs or campus organizations?
I am planning on auditioning for the musical, and also for the campus choirs. I have participated in choir and theatre since I was in middle school, so I am definitely looking forward to continuing on that same path for the next four years.

Do you know what you want to do after you graduate?
After college I plan on becoming a physical therapist, and hopefully move back to my hometown to raise a family.

One of the most common ice-breakers on campus is “Tell us your name, major, and an interesting thing about yourself.” Do you have an interesting fact or story about yourself you’d like to share?
One unique thing about me is that I love theatre. Being able to portray another person on stage and present a story to an audience and feel their reactions is absolutely priceless. This past summer I had the amazing opportunity to play Quasimodo in the regional premiere of The Hunchback of Notre Dame, and it was incredible.
