Dollar for dollar, the editors of Money Magazine have ranked Bellarmine University as one of the nation's best college values.

In their annual college rankings, the magazine included Bellarmine among the nation's best colleges for your money, placing it on a list of 727 leading institutions that best combine educational quality, affordability and alumni success.

Among the nine Kentucky colleges that made the list, Bellarmine ranked third for overall best value and third for the early career earnings of its graduates. Bellarmine was the only Kentucky school to rank in the top three on both measures.

"The affordability and the impact of a Bellarmine education are matters we take very seriously, and we know how important both value and quality are for families who are searching for a college," said Dr. Susan M. Donovan, Bellarmine's president. "We're grateful for this reminder of what our alumni already know -- Bellarmine is worth the money."

To build their rankings, Money Magazine used data from the U.S. Department of Education, PayScale.com and their own calculations to rank colleges based on 26 factors, including graduation rates, tuition, family borrowing and alumni earnings. Based on their formula, Bellarmine ranked 421 among the top 727 best value colleges.

"College is a great investment — if you choose the right school," the publication said in their announcement. "MONEY identified and ranked more than 700 leading institutions that are worth the cost."

Earlier this month, The Princeton Review named Bellarmine one of the nation's top colleges for 2019. See more of Bellarmine's recent rankings and accolades here.
