11 new faculty members beginning first full year at Bellarmine

August 16, 2018

Next Thursday, as 670 freshmen begin their first day of classes at Bellarmine University, they’ll be joined by 11 new faculty members who will be starting their first full academic year on campus.

“These 11 new faculty members are joining a remarkable community of teachers and students who are passionately committed to scholarship and service, as I quickly learned when I arrived at Bellarmine last year, ” said Dr. Susan M. Donovan, Bellarmine’s president. “Our strong academic reputation is a credit to the life’s work of our faculty, and these new educators will contribute meaningfully to that through their research and their work with students, inside and outside their classrooms."

The new hires will help ensure that Bellarmine continues to maintain its 12:1 student to faculty ratio, small class sizes and personal attention to each student. The new faculty members are filling a combination of newly-created positions and positions that became available through retirement or departure from the university.
