Rubel School event: how to lead when going in different directions

Bill Lamb, president and general manager of WDRB-41 and WMYO-58 in Louisville, will offer advice on managing a diverse workplace in a session hosted by Bellarmine University's W. Fielding Rubel School of Business on Tuesday, November 6.

The event -- "How to lead when going in different directions" -- takes place in Centro's McGowan Hall 176 and is free and open to the public. A networking opportunity begins at 5:30 p.m., with the program starting at 6 p.m. RSVP online.

bill lambIn addition to managing the two Louisville stations, Lamb is vice president of broadcast operations for Block Communications, overseeing eight television stations.

He will offer tips on bringing varying views together to facilitate collaboration, achieve success and complete projects effectively.
 
Bill wrote a book titled "Money Follows Excellence." The leadership principles in the book can be seen in WDRB's success: For the seventh consecutive year, WDRB Media has been named one of the best places to work in Kentucky by the Kentucky Chamber of Commerce. Lamb says WDRB is now Louisville's top television station in news viewership and revenue.
 
Bill is on the Fox Board of Governors, and past chairman of the Kentucky Broadcasters Association. This year, he was inducted into the Kentucky Broadcaster’s Hall of Fame.
