Dual Credit

A dual credit course enables students to earn both high school and college credits at the same time. These courses can be taught either on a college campus or at a high school, but they are always affiliated with a college or university.

To be eligible for the program, courses must adhere to KRS 158.007(8), which defines dual credit as:

"...a college-level course of study developed in accordance with KRS 164.098 in which a high school student receives credit from both the high school and postsecondary institution in which the student is enrolled upon completion of a single class or designated program of study."

Dual Enrollment

Dual Enrollment refers to a student being simultaneously enrolled in both high school and college, where they earn college credit for specific courses without receiving high school credit for those same courses.
