Important Information for High School Teachers & Administrators
Ensuring a consistent, high-quality learning experience for dual credit students is a top priority. Here’s what you need to know about instructor responsibilities:
Primary Instructor Responsibility
- The assigned instructor is expected to teach the course from start to finish to maintain instructional consistency and academic integrity.
- Instructors must adhere to Bellarmine University’s curriculum, policies, and assessment standards throughout the course.
Long-Term Substitute Policy
If a long-term substitute is needed for a Dual Credit course:
- Notify Bellarmine University immediately – Contact the Director of the Dual Credit Institute dualcredit@bellarmine.edu as soon as possible.
- Instructor approval is required – Any replacement must meet Bellarmine’s faculty credentialing requirements and be officially approved before teaching the course.
- Maintain course continuity – The substitute must follow the approved syllabus, grading policies, and course objectives.
Short-term absences (less than two weeks) do not require a formal substitute approval but should be communicated in advance if possible.
