Anthropology Minor

With a minor in anthropology, you'll approach the principles of sociology from a global perspective, looking at health, the environment, religion and other social issues. Building skills in cross-cultural communication, you'll be prepared for personal and professional life in the 21st century. You might do field work in exotic locations or disaster areas, or pursue a career at a corporation, in government or as a university professor.

Classes at the 100 and 200 levels introduce core concepts in anthropology through studies of other cultural practices and ways of thinking. More advanced courses look at health, the environment, religion, and other issues as they are experienced by cultures from the Amazon to the Arctic, from Africa to Asia.
