Bellarmine University’s
W. Fielding Rubel School of Business again demonstrated its commitment to transformative business education recently when
AACSB International announced it has extended the Rubel School’s accreditation. The Rubel School
has held AACSB accreditation since 2004.
AACSB accreditation places the Rubel School of Business among the elite business schools in the nation. Not only is Bellarmine the first and only private university in Kentucky to achieve AACSB accreditation, but fewer than 5% of business schools worldwide
have achieved this distinction.
"Extending our prestigious AACSB accreditation confirms that the Rubel School of Business consistently offers high quality curricular offerings that are delivered by experts in their fields," said Dr. Natasha Munshi, dean of the Rubel School of Business.
“With quality, flexibility and innovation in mind with both our programmatic offerings as well as in how we teach, the Rubel School offers an unbeatable return on investment for students who benefit from Bellarmine’s inclusive, student-centered
liberal arts education."
AACSB-accredited institutions like the Rubel School of Business meet the highest standard in business education, ensuring a sound investment of your time and money.
“AACSB congratulates Bellarmine's Rubel School of Business and Dr. Natasha Munshi on extending accreditation,” said Stephanie M. Bryant, executive vice president and chief accreditation officer of AACSB International. “The intense peer-review
process confirms a school’s continued focus on excellence in all areas, including teaching, research, curriculum development and student learning. The Rubel School’s dedication to delivering high quality business education will create
the next generation of great leaders.”
The AACSB Accreditation seal demonstrates an institution's commitment to continually improving the quality of the education it offers. AACSB schools offer coursework that is rigorous, dynamic and relevant, preparing students for the challenging and changing
global business environment. AACSB-accredited schools have the highest-caliber instructors and leading-edge courses and programs that connect business education to the real world.
This year, the Rubel School completed a new strategic plan centered on excellence in teaching; student learning; curricular innovation, enrollment and program growth; and community engagement. The plan identifies three strategic priorities:
- Deliver mission-aligned, innovative curricular and co-curricular offerings that make us distinctive in how we serve existing and future student populations and maximizes our commitment to equity and inclusion.
- Provide support for scholarship for faculty as well as ongoing professional development, coaching and mentoring for faculty and staff, so they can continue to deliver on our mission in the most effective manner.
- Engage, deeply and broadly, with alumni and community partners through faculty scholarship and external outreach to ensure the relevance and standing of the Rubel School of Business, and help our students find meaningful career opportunities.
The Rubel School of Business’s flagship MBA and Executive MBA programs are practice-oriented and offer a flexible and innovative curriculum, with concentrations in Analytics, Finance, Marketing and Innovation. Undergraduate majors are offered in
Accounting, Business Administration, Economics and Finance. Additionally, the school offers credit-bearing certificates, such as the Applied Business Analytics at the graduate level and Accounting Certificate at the undergraduate level to augment
the curriculum in cutting-edge knowledge. In support of life-long learning, non-credit offerings such as, the “Women of Color Entrepreneurs–Leadership” certificate and Accounting Analytics certificate, were recently launched under
its Executive Education and Certificates initiative.
