Dr. Fairfield is an Assistant Professor of Finance. She received her D.B.A., with a concentration in finance, from the University of Wisconsin-Whitewater. Dr. Fairfield earned both her bachelor’s and MBA degrees from Bradley University.
Her current research interests include behavioral finance relating to chief financial officers and social networks as well as tail risk and institutional investors. Dr. Fairfield is a member of the Financial Management Association. Previous
professional experience includes working as a General Securities Representative (Series 7 and 63 exams) as well as a General Securities Principal (Series 24 exam) to develop a new securities exchange and as a cost accountant in the food processing

Dr. Karimi is an assistant professor of management in the Rubel School of Business. Haleh teaches undergraduate and graduate courses in the areas of management, strategy, and innovation. Dr. Karimi has been teaching in higher education
for over a decade. Before that, she worked in all kinds of organizational entities. Haleh started her career at Colgate Palmolive as a business analyst, moved on to Steel Technologies as lead developer for their SAP systems. After a few years there,
she was recruited to lead the Coca-Cola Enterprise's Innovation Center. She led CCE's innovation initiatives to enhance business outcomes and performance. Dr. Karimi later moved on to entrepreneurship as the CEO of Surgical Serenity Solutions. Her
company came up with innovative ideas to improve packaging and marketing that led to increase revenue. Once that entrepreneurial challenge was fulfilled, she moved on to lead a grassroots non-profit organization. Dr. Karimi led a strategic plan that
led the non-profit to achieve financial sustainability, growth, and recognition awards. Among all these entities, she found her passion for education which drove her to pursue and attain her doctorate. She has been teaching at Sullivan University,
University of Louisville, and now at Bellarmine University. As an educator, her mission is to be a champion for all her students. She follows a student-centric strategy to provide the best education possible with key takeaways that will go beyond
the classroom.
