Jennie is originally from Lincoln, Nebraska. She is a poet laureate of writing centers that grew up on the intersection of Reading Rainbow and Sesame Street. Jennie’s love of reading, writing, and all things Bob Dylan, eventually drove her to the University of Nebraska-Lincoln, where she pursued a bachelor’s degree in English, with a concentration in Rhetoric. It was there that she learned of her passion for research and scholarship in critical race theory, writing centers, rhetoric, and literacy issues. To further her education, Jennie attended Washington State University and earned a master’s in English, with an unaccredited degree in Tricksters. Tired of living the small town life, Jennie came to Bellarmine to be a part of the wonderful Student Success Center team.
