Dr. Andrew Schroeder

Dr. Andrew Schroeder was named as the first director of the Center for Academic and Support Services for Student-Athletes in the summer of 2019.

Schroeder has a wealth of experience in both academic advising and his doctoral research focused on student-athletes.  After earning his undergraduate degree in psychology at Bellarmine in 2004, Schroeder served as a residential counselor at Brooklawn Child and Family Services (now Uspiritus) for a year before returning to his alma mater as a graduate residential counselor.  Since that time, he has served Bellarmine in a variety of roles primarily in the university's Student Success Center with his most recent appointment being the associate dean of academic advising.

In addition to holding a bachelor's degree, Schroeder earned a master's of education from the University of Louisville and successfully defended his dissertation in 2018 to earn his Ph.D. in Leadership in Higher Education from Bellarmine.  His dissertation was titled "The Relationship Between Gender Role Conflict and Academic Progress Comparing Division II Male Student-Athletes to Male Non-Student-Athletes."

Dr. Schroeder lives in Louisville with his wife, Anne, and their four children.

Addy Lancaster

Addy Lancaster joined the Academic and Support Services for Student-Athletes department as an Academic Advisor in the fall of 2025. Addy was promoted to the Assistant Director role in May 2026.

Addy earned her undergraduate degree in Psychology, with a minor in coaching, from the University of Kentucky in 2019. Addy continued her education at Miami University in Oxford, Ohio, earning a Master’s in Sport Leadership and Management, with a concentration in Sport Psychology. As a graduate assistant at Miami University, Addy served as a teaching assistant for Sport Psychology and Sport Leadership courses, instructor of undergraduate Physical Activity and Life Skills courses, and a mental performance coach. Addy successfully defended her Master’s thesis which focused on athlete leadership when transitioning from high school to collegiate athletics.

As a Louisville native, Addy is thrilled to be back in Louisville and enjoys spending time with family and friends. In her free time, she likes watching and playing sports. 



Nick Mugnaini

Nick Mugnaini joined the Academic and Support Services for Student-Athletes department as an Academic Advisor in the Summer of 2026.  

Nick earned his undergraduate degree from the University of Louisville in Sports Administration in 2024. Nick also earned his Master’s degree in Sports Administration at the University of Louisville in 2026. Nick worked with the University of Louisville’s College of Education & Human Development Undergraduate Advising Office as a Graduate Assistant. During his time at Louisville, Nick also worked with the athletic department as a Lead Gameday Marketing Intern.  

Nick is from the suburbs of Chicago and loves watching sports. He also enjoys watching movies and TV shows in his free time.
