Dr. David Robinson

Dr. Dave Robinson is a plant physiologist interested in how plants naturally adapt to their environments as well as in manipulating them to benefit society. He is investigating the mechanisms of seed dormancy in plants, particularly White Snakeroot (Eupatorium rugosum), as well as the molecular genetics of pollen allergenicity in Ragweed (Ambrosia spp.). He is also collaborating with the University of Illinois-Urbana in developing plant-based edible vaccines for protecting infants from the deadly Respiratory Synctial Virus.
