Elle King will perform at Bellarmine University’s annual Hillside concert on Friday, April 22, at 7:30 p.m.

King is a 26-year-old singer-songwriter and guitar player whose official bio describes her as a “frank and fearless, tender and rowdy” musician who is a “pop force to be reckoned with.” Her music spans the genres of rock, blues, country and pop.

Her 2015 debut album, “Love Stuff” includes “Ex’s and Oh’s,” a top 10 single that was nominated for two Grammy awards earlier this year. King has recorded with producers such as Jeff Bhasker (Fun, Kanye West), Eg White (Adele, Sam Smith) and Jacknife Lee (R.E.M., U2).

Louisville singer-songwriter Justin Paul Lewis will open for King. Lewis, 28, is a soul-driven Americana performer whose latest record, "Every Little Thing," is set for release on April 15.

Hillside is an annual spring concert series at Bellarmine, named for its original location on the hill behind the George G. Brown Activity Center. The concert is produced by the student-led Bellarmine Activities Council.

Previous headliners include Twenty One Pilots, Phillip Phillips, Maroon 5 and MKTO.

Tickets are on sale now at http://www.BellarmineTickets.com. Tickets for current Bellarmine students, faculty and staff are $7; otherwise, tickets are $20 for the public.

This year’s performance takes place on Bellarmine’s campus in the parking area outside Joseph P. Clayton Hall. Gates for the standing-room-only event open at 6:30 p.m.
