Application Deadlines
Early Action: November 1
Bellarmine offers an option for early action on the application. Students applying early action must have their applications in by November 1. In doing so, there is no application fee, and students receive notification of their institutional scholarship in November.
Bellarmine Honors Scholarships: December 1
We award five Bellarmine Scholar Awards which recognize first-year students with a four-year, full-ride scholarship. Additionally we offer five Bellarmine Fellow Award providing first-year students with four years of full tuition. In addition, these awards come with a study abroad stipend and enrollment in Bellarmine’s Honors Program, a community of excellence that provides students with opportunities in and outside of the classroom to achieve at the highest possible level while forming lifelong friendships with others who share their love of learning. Must be admitted prior to December 1st to be eligible to apply.
Regular Decision: February 1
Bellarmine requests that all other standard admission applications are submitted by February 1. Students applying online will have the application fee waived and have no additional scholarship application.
Direct to DPT: March 1
The Direct to DPT program is designed for high school seniors admitted to Bellarmine University who intend to pursue admission to the Doctor of Physical Therapy Program (DPT) immediately following their undergraduate pursuit. Students admitted to the Direct to DPT program matriculate as undergraduate students at Bellarmine University and can apply for the DPT program either after their second (Sophomore) year or third (Junior) year of undergraduate coursework. Upon completion of all application requirements and meeting all standards for DPT admission, students are enrolled in the DPT program.
In order to be eligible to apply for the program, students must first be admitted to Bellarmine University. The average student accepted for this program has a cumulative un-weighted GPA of at least 3.75 and an ACT of 28 (or SAT of 1250). A committee will review the applications and select students for the program. If accepted into the LEAP program, specific requirements are outlined on the DPT Program Page.
Honors Program: March 1
The Honors Program offers an honors-quality track for satisfying general education courses required for students accepted in the program. Honors courses differ from regular courses on a qualitative rather than quantitative basis. During the junior year, Honors students begin designing independent studies under the guidance of a primary faculty advisor; these projects continue with in-depth study through the senior year, culminating in a Senior Honors Thesis. In order to be eligible to apply for the program, students must be admitted to Bellarmine, have a test score of at least a 28 ACT or 1250 SAT and a high cumulative un-weighted GPA. A committee will review the applications and select students for the program.
