How the Tutoring Center Can Help You Succeed

Student Success

After a busy fall, everyone is excited to wrap up the semester, but before taking a break to celebrate the holidays, we have to get through finals. Preparing for those exams and projects is challenging, but Bellarmine offers resources like the Tutoring Center to help students succeed. Bellarmine communication major Cheyenne Grogean shares some of the benefits of visiting the Tutoring Center as you prepare for finals week.

Long-Term Skill Building

While tutoring can help work through a rough patch in class, it offers more than just immediate problem-solving. Located in level A of the library, staff at the Tutoring Center can help with building better study habits, give advice on note-taking and test-taking, and develop academic skills that will carry you through college.

Personalized Support

The pressure to perform well on finals can be intense, especially if you don’t feel prepared. Getting support early on can help ease that stress and allow you to walk into your classes feeling optimistic about the results; one of the Tutoring Center’s primary benefits is boosting confidence in course content. Even if you feel okay about an upcoming final, booking a session at the Tutoring Center can take you from “okay” to “solid.”

Easy Access Learning

Getting help with school shouldn’t feel impossible, and at the Tutoring Center, it isn’t. Peer tutoring is free to all Bellarmine undergraduate students for most 100- and 200-level courses. Booking a session is easy, too; if learning face-to-face is more your style, hop in while you’re on campus. For the busy bees out there, you can book a virtual session that fits in with your packed schedule.

Don’t let the stress of finals end your semester on a bad note. Visit the Tutoring Center and ace that test. Go forth and study!
