Deborah Cohen
Dr. Deborah Cohen is a published author, and history professor. Raised in Louisville, Dr. Cohen now lives in Chicago, where she is the Richard W. Leopold Professor of History at Northwestern University and Director of Northwestern University's Buffett Institute for Global Affairs. She writes regularly for The Atlantic on subjects ranging from punk rock to World War I photography. Her essay about Anglo-Argentine families was published in Past & Present and she wrote about consumerism and mega-factories in the New York Review of Books. Her most recent book is Last Call at the Hotel Imperial: The Reporters Who Took on a World at War (Random House, 2022).
