A Sistah's Voice - Women of Color Discussion Group

What is the group structure?

The purpose of this group is to provide a safe and supportive space for women of color.

How do I know if this group is right for me?

A Sistah’s Voice is for all cis and trans women of color, as well as non-binary people. The discussion group is centered on the experiences of the participants. In this space, we hope to cultivate a sense of community in which one feels comfortable in gaining and giving support through the discussion of topics chosen by the group participants.

Do I have to share?

Yes, this group is heavily focused on the sharing of experiences. While you may not share extensively in every group, the more you share and participate, the richer the experience for you and others.

How much time does it take?

Group will be every other week for an hour. It will run for the entirety of the spring semester. Attendance at each meeting is strongly encouraged, but not required.

When is the group?

The group meets in-person on Tuesdays from 4 - 5 p.m. in the Fireplace Room located in Centro.

How do I sign up?

You do not need to sign up or be a client of the Counseling Center to attend this discussion group.
