Jessie has lived in Louisville since 2013 and has worked in the field of Disability Services since completing her Masters in Public Heath at the University of Arizona. As a graduate assistant and Maternal and Child Health fellow, she worked on a pilot study offering intensive therapeutic services to children with cerebral palsy which resulted in a clinical trial that is currently underway. Following her M.P.H., she pursued work as a Disability Services professional, working in local Louisville non-profits to support adults with disabilities to find good work--customized, individualized employment that matched their skills, abilities, and conditions for success. KY Association of People Supporting Employment First (KY APSE) recognized her work by awarding her the Timothy D. Estes award, which acknowledges Supported Employment Professionals for innovation in supporting individuals with disabilities to find dignified, respected work. In addition to her work at Bellarmine, she is a consultant for Marc Gold & Associates, where she trains and mentors human services professionals through a rigorous 5-month training program to advance their skills in the field.
