Krista (she/her) joined Bellarmine as the Director of the Accessibility Resource Center in 2022. She received her B.A. in Psychology at the University of Louisville and her M.A. in Clinical Psychology at Spalding University. Krista held several roles, including director, at what is now Disability and Access at the University of Texas at Austin. Additionally, she worked in community mental health in the educational setting for over fifteen years. Krista is committed to the importance of building upon others’ strengths, collaborating to enhance student success, increasing understanding, and creating an accessible world for all.

Alexia Gardon is the Accessibility Resource Center Coordinator at Bellarmine University. Alexia earned her bachelor’s degree in Moderate/Intense Special Education from Xavier University in 2015. She continued at Xavier, pursuing her master’s degree in Reading Education, which she completed in 2017. Before coming to Bellarmine, Alexia was a public-school Special Education Teacher for six years. During this time, she taught students from kindergarten to twelfth grade with disabilities ranging from mild to severe. Alexia is passionate about disability rights and is an advocate for students of all ages with disabilities.
