Alice Kimble, RN, BSN, MS, PhD
Director, Office of Health Services
Dr. Kimble (known in the campus community as “Nurse Alice”) has been with Bellarmine since 1998. She has a Master’s Degree in Exercise Physiology and a PhD in Educational Leadership. Before college health her experience included critical care, emergency, and cardiac rehab. She is married to Steve McMillen, a wildlife biologist, and has one daughter, Abrayah McMillen. They live on a farm in Breckinridge County.
Dr. Kathy Hager
Kathy Hager (known around campus as 'Hager') has been with Bellarmine since 2007. She has a clinical doctorate degree (DNP, 2007), is a family nurse practitioner (1996), and teaches in Bellarmine's graduate nursing program. Hager has taught most of her life, but has always maintained practice, as a hospice nurse, as a home health nurse, as a nurse practitioner in a clinic, or as a diabetes consultant for a nursing home chain. Her expertise is in the area of cancer, chronic pain, end of life care, and diabetes. Her newly found passion is population health, where she is trying to get healthy, and help other people get healthy. She has been married to Denny for 45 years; they have lived in Shelbyville the last 40 years. They have three daughters, Jenny, Wendy and Lindsay; finally, they have three sons: Lance, Kris and Alex. Joyfully, they also have five grandchildren: McKenzie (20 something-and there will be no age divulging, on this one:), Caleb and Isabella (7 year old twins), Hudson (5 years old), and Harper (2 years old).
Dr. Ta'Neka Lindsay
Dr. Ta’Neka Lindsay has been with Bellarmine University since January 2013. She serves as an Assistant Professor of Nursing and Staff NP. She has her BSN from the University of Louisville, MSN (with dual certification in Women’s/Adult Health) from Vanderbilt University, and her DNP from the University of Kentucky. She is married to Jarvaun Lindsay, a graphic designer, and they have a son (Harper Lindsay) and one semi-kid, Smokie (their gray and white Shih Tzu). They reside in Louisville, Ky.
Leigh Foxx, MSN, APRN, FNP-C
Leigh Foxx, MSN, APRN, FNP-C, has 11 years of nursing experience that includes critical care, palliative, staff education, and stroke nurse navigator. A recent graduate of FNP program at Bellarmine, Leigh has a passion for preventive medicine and helping people obtain highest quality of life. Leigh is married to Rick Foxx, who works in the aviation field, and they have one son.
Melanie earned her Bachelor’s degree in Theatre Arts and Master’s degree in Business Administration from the University of Louisville. In addition to serving the Health Services Clinic, Melanie runs two small business enterprises: one as an alterations specialist/wardrobe consultant and the second selling local Amish-made furniture. She is a proud Kentucky native who lives in St. Matthews with her fiancé and their dog, Salinger, and cat, Nico. She enjoys yoga, attending concerts, reading, hiking, and traveling.
Dr. John F. Sullivan
Dr. John Sullivan is a board-certified Family Physician who has been affiliated with the Bellarmine Student Health Clinic since 2013. He has been in practice in Louisville since 1990 after completing his Family Medicine residency here. Prior to that, he attended the University of Notre Dame and the University of Virginia School of Medicine. Currently he is employed by Norton Healthcare. He is available for consultation with the on-campus Student Health staff, and he or his partners can see patients by appointment on weekdays at his office at Norton CMA-Okolona. His family includes his wife Debbie who is the Medical Librarian at nearby Norton Audubon Hospital and one daughter who is a 2015 Bellarmine graduate. He also has a son, stepson, and stepdaughter, and a grandson on the way! You may see him at a Knight’s basketball game where he is a regular attendee.
