Definitions

Logo:
Symbolic, identifying mark that conveys identity.

Word mark:
Styled type; text treatment comprised of letters and words.

Combination mark:
The combination of a word mark and a logo.

Icon:
Primary symbols of a brand; icons are only used in conjunction with colleges’ combination marks (i.e. knight head or coat of arms).

Secondary imagery:
Graphic elements that support the Bellarmine identity, while conveying a distinguished look or feel (photos, patterns or illustrations).

Event/initiative graphic:
Graphic used to market/promote a specific event

  • can be a word mark
  • not attached to the Bellarmine logo or shield
  • includes associated combination mark or Bellarmine logo if no association 
  • can include secondary imagery and/or stylized fonts
