    Bellarmine University will award 70 graduate and 339 undergraduate degrees during spring commencement exercises on Saturday, May 9, at noon in Knights Hall. Bellarmine will grant honorary degrees to Bishop John J. McRaith, who led the Diocese of Owensboro for more than 25 years, and New York City Ballet principal dancer Wendy Whelan. Whelan also will make the commencement address.

    Bellarmine Financial Aid Director Receives Prestigious Industry Award

    Bellarmine University's director of financial aid, Heather Boutell, has received the 2009 Herb Vescio Distinguished Service Award from the Kentucky Association of Student Financial Aid Administrators (KASFAA). Association president Jennifer Cosens Priest presented the award to Boutell during the group's spring conference last week in Erlanger, Ky.

    Bellarmine Nursing Honor Society to Induct Norton Healthcare Chief Development Officer

    Norton Healthcare Chief Development Officer Lynnie Meyer will deliver the keynote address at the induction ceremony for the Bellarmine chapter of the international honor society for nurses, Sigma Theta Tau. Meyer, who earned both her undergraduate nursing degree and master's degree in nursing administration from Bellarmine, will be honored as an inductee during the ceremony on April 19 in Frazier Hall. Meyer also serves as executive director of the Kosair Children's Hospital and Norton Healthcare Foundations.
