    Bellarmine University Women’s Council announces 2008 Designers’ Show House

    This year the Bellarmine University Women’s Council celebrates their 45th anniversary and 35th Annual Designers’ Show House, The Manor House at Glenview Springs. This year’s show house is located at 6005 Springhouse Farm Lane (off Lime Kiln Lane) and the dates for this event will be Sept. 6 – 21.

    Escosa honored for CPA exam score

    The American Institute of Certified Public Accountants has announced the winners of the 2007 Elijah Watt Sells Awards, which are presented annually to the 10 candidates earning the highest cumulative scores on the four sections of the Uniform CPA Examination. John Briscoe Escosa, a 2007 Bellarmine graduate, was among those honored.

    Bellarmine included in The Princeton Review's "368 Best Colleges"

    Bellarmine chosen for $100,000 “Wal-Mart College Success Award”

    Bellarmine University has been selected by the Council of Independent Colleges (CIC) to receive the Wal-Mart College Success Award—a $100,000 grant to help build on Bellarmine’s demonstrated successes in enrolling, retaining, and graduating first-generation college students. Bellarmine was one of only 20 colleges selected through a highly competitive application process to receive the award.

    Bellarmine offers accelerated executive certificate in financial planning program

    Bellarmine to participate in Kentucky Private College Week July 14-18

    Bellarmine University will participate in the Fifth Annual Kentucky Private College Week from July 14 to 18. Kentucky Private College Week is a coordinated effort by the state’s 20 nonprofit, independent colleges and universities to provide students and families an easy way to explore a variety of college campuses during the summer.

    Bellarmine receives inaugural Collegiate Challenge Award

    Bellarmine University has received the inaugural Collegiate Challenge University Leadership Award in honor of the volunteer efforts of its accounting students. The award is sponsored by Chilton & Medley CPAs and the Louisville Asset Building Coalition (LABC) and is given to the university or college that contributes the most volunteer hours to the LABC’s Volunteer Income Tax Assistance (VITA) program.

    Bellarmine University has named 617 students to its dean’s list for the 2008 spring semester. The dean’s list recognizes students who achieve a 3.5 grade point average or better on a four-point grading system.

    Bellarmine announces $2.5 million gift from Nolen and Maydie Allen family

    (April 23, 2008) — Bellarmine University President Joseph J. McGowan announced today the Louisville school has received a $2.5 million gift from the family of Nolen and Maydie Allen. The gift ranks as the second largest single contribution in school history.

    Mock Trial team has best national finish since 2001

    The Bellarmine University Mock Trial Team finished sixth in the National Championship Tournament held April 4-6 in Minneapolis, Minnesota. The team earned its best finish since 2001 defeating Stanford University and Northwestern University in head to head matches.

    Bellarmine concert by Sara Bareilles a sellout

    Singer/pianist Sara Bareilles, who is currently topping the charts with "Love Song," will perform at Bellarmine on April 18, as the featured performer at the university's annual "Hillside Concert." The outdoor concert, which will also include performances by Raining Jane and Rachel Yamagata, is already a sellout.

    Bellarmine announces new master's degree in communication
