Housing Selection for Current Residents

 

 

For returning residents, our room selection process kicks off on Monday, January 23. There is no separate housing deposit.

  • January 23 – February 5: All current residents MUST begin their 2023-2024 application in the housing portal. This includes submitting a housing intention, and (if returning to housing) selecting room- and suitemates.
  • February 6 – 12: Same Hall/Same Room Selection (for current sophomores, junior and seniors)
  • February 20 – 26: Open Room Selection (rising seniors)
  • March 6 – 12: Open Room Selection (rising juniors)
  • March 13 – 19: Open Room Selection (rising sophomores)

Students who do not begin their housing application by February 5 may experience delays in the room selection process, including a delayed/late time slot.

Housing Selection for Commuter Students

For current commuter students who are interested in moving on campus for Fall 2023, our room selection process begins on Monday, January 23. There is no separate housing deposit.

  • January 23 – February 5: All students MUST begin their 2023-2024 application in the housing portal. This includes selecting room- and suitemates.
  • February 20 – 26: Open Room Selection (rising seniors)
  • March 6 – 12: Open Room Selection (rising juniors)
  • March 13 – 19: Open Room Selection (rising sophomores)

This year, commuter students will be assigned time slots according to their classification by credit hours; and will participate in open room selection during the same time periods as current residents.

Students who do not begin their housing application by February 5 may experience delays in the room selection process, including a delayed/late time slot.

Housing Exception Applications 

Current residents who wish to apply for a housing exception to live off campus should consult the Residential Living Policy for the guidelines and forms.

Here are the dates for our Fall 2023 housing exception application process:

  • January 23 – 29: Applications for Fall 2023 housing exceptions should be submitted in the housing portal.
  • January 30 – February 3: Housing Exception applications reviewed
  • February 3: Exception decisions will be sent to students via email by 5 pm.
  • February 12: Exception appeals due
  • February 17: Appeal responses will be sent to students via email by 5 pm.

After 1/29, exception applications can still be submitted in the housing portal; and they will be reviewed on an ongoing basis.
